Collaboration and Volunteers

VOLUNTEERS WANTED!

A Chance for Children can guarantee that 100% of all donations go to Uganda, because our staff in Austria operate on an entirely voluntary basis.
If you want to become a volunteer in Uganda, the following guidelines apply:

  • You should ideally be 25 years old or older. If you have never travelled alone for an extended time, you will find the experience requires personal maturity and independence.
  • You should have relevant vocational training and preferably professional experience.
  • It is a huge advantage if you have already spent time abroad, whether on business or holiday, especially in developing countries.
  • The minimum stay is five months.

The organisation cannot pay any travel, visa or vaccination costs. You will be provided with accommodation (solar power for light, gas cooker, no running water) and a small allowance to buy personal needs (eg. drinking water).

If you are interested in becoming a volunteer, please send a cover letter and a CV to Walter Voitl (walter@kinderneinechance.at).

We recommend you read all reports from previous volunteers in Uganda to get an idea of what the experience entails.
